Guess this is the only way to get to the trackball to change it out. I changed the trackball on my 8330 numerous times and it was a much easier process. Sigh

Ever had a screen go out or scratched really badly? This is how you'd replace it so you wouldn't need to buy a new Tour. Also, this is the only way to clean or replace the Trackball

What do you think it looks like? I do see 3 RF connectors with nothing plugged into them. Probably test ports, but who knows!

I heard you usually void your warranty by opening your phone like this. But on the photos, I dont see anything that would tell anyone you opened it up. Is there something I don't see ?

On one of the 4 screws in step 1, there is a white circular sticker covering one of the screws. Its really easy to take off without ripping the sticker. Get a really small flat head and just lift from the outter part of the sticker and thats it. Either way you will be suprised how many techs will overlook that when you walk into a store.

any body had trouble getting the screws out? first one was a breeze and i can't get the others out. T7 seems too large and T6 isn't working either. ideas?

Well t7 worked for me because I think that my t7 might b a tad bit worn but t6 should deff work. Check ur torx to make sure they r not stripped.

got em out fine with a t6. i'm an *****. anyway, new problem. I started a thread on this but no one answered me.

"So i was messing around with the keyboard trying to mod it last night when i damaged the top cover (where the earpiece and top buttons are). The part is not available on cnn.cn and I was wondering if anyone had any other sources they could recommend.

Again, its the top front cover that you have to remove in order to get to the final 2 screws to take the phone apart. I was not to careful prying it off and it's just rough looking and a little chipped.

    Thanks in advance!"

Know where i can get that part?
