BlackBerry "Niagra" 9630 info!? ;)
- The 9630 certainly looks to be a device that can be called the best of both worlds. As a BlackBerry convert for life, I am liking what I am seeing (and reading)...
Is this 9630 confirmed to be a CDMA device?? I'm saying that because of the xx30, and RIM is VERY consistent with model numbers.
Also, being that a finished unit, instead of a blueprint of one, and it was literally "dropped off", does that mean that it has the necessary FCC approval, etc., and how far are we from knowing as to which carrier will get it, and about when?
I am not at all bothered by its apparent lack of WiFi. I do hope it has GPS, though! However, besides the naming convention, and the lack of WiFi both point to Verizon.
Is it scheduled to be released on Rogers, or Bell and/or Telus for you Canadian guys!?? I won't make the same mistake again that I made with my Bold 9000, and wait for the AT&T release. I could have had a Bold on 8/20/08, and I would never have bought that darn Treo Pro in early October.
Sorry for the long post. Thanks all...rumors are always welcome, too, of course.03-20-09 10:39 PMLike 0
