yeah they are coming to Verizon in may I think....im looking forward to these, im returning my storm to wait for the niagra and curve and make my final BB decision then since the storm is my first BB but i've tried the new 8900 and bold and i like them both, I just want to see how they run for verizon when released
One month is usually how long it takes Sprint to get a RIM device after Verizon does (unless it's an exclusive.)

From what I've heard (from a reliable source), the Bold 9030 "Niagara" is just going to be a CDMA variant of the 9000 with a couple of extras (wifi, global roaming). It might vary in color or the led might be in a different spot, but it's gonna pretty much look the same as the Bold 9000.

No, 9030 will be the hybrid between 9000 and 8900. It will be smaller than Bold with the same size screen and (I'm pretty sure) same processor. There are already plenty of threads on this...
Take a look at the Crackberry and Boy Genius Report blogs. They pretty much say the Niagara will be "bold-like" and talk about the "hybridity" of the Niagara.

Any idea on if the Niagara will be released on the telus network? We seem to get shafted alot. We dont have the bold or the curve 8900.
I was told "with confidentiality" (lol) by a Telus rep in early February that Telus would be getting the Niagara "sometime in March". Hopefully that is true. In the meantime, I constantly struggle with "should I get an 8330 now to tide me over, or wait for the Niagara"? I could probably handle the wait if March is the real date. But if it is April or May... grrr!
The Niagara will be the closest thing a CDMA carrier will have to a Bold. It will have the styling of the 8900 and the Storm, but will be bigger, closer to the size of the Bold. One thing to be especially excited about for those on VZW is that it will indeed have wifi and 3G. Projected release is end Q1 2009, with Verizon rumored to be landing it first.
