BRG says it will sell on Sprint for $199/2 years. Very good price...who thinks Verizon will follow suit?

Good catch. Was just in a Sprint Store and the rep told me it was delayed because there were problems with the OS. Something about every time they went to the internet during testing the phone crashed.

It's not just Engadget reporting off of a rumor. Sprint themselves said $199 in their official press release.

The New BlackBerry Tour Smartphone Launches on America€™s Most Dependable 3G Network to Create a Powerful Mobility Tool for Those on the Go

The BlackBerry Tour will be available at Sprint stores, www . sprint . com and 1-800-Sprint1 later this summer for $199.99 with a new line of service or eligible upgrade, two-year service agreement and $50 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate.

From what I gather Sprint is supposedly having problems with the OS. The phone keeps crashing. Can this mean 5.0? Or maybe a late Fall/early Winter release date???Ugghh!!!! Nothings official yet I guess. The wait game continues.

Again, if you read their official press release, it says it will be available "later this summer." That goes along with what CX said yesterday - August/September.

It'll be released with 4.7 OS. Upgradable to 5.0 when Sprint and Rim get around to releasing it.

I'm so mad about this. I recently bought the Palm Pre because I was tired of waiting for a new Sprint Blackberry. Now I hear news of this. I might have to add a line on and get this.

Its all good news... presuming Sprint doesn't blow it. I'm feeling optimistic. When they say "late summer" I'm guessing August?

So I was wrong about the name. I was sure the name Tour was a red herring. Mea culpa. The name 'Tour' svcks.
