I didn't like the new opera mini, particularly the fact that it somehow became my default browser. Stock is the way for me to go until Skyfire comes out!

I use Bolt for any full-page desktop like browsing that I do and I use the BB browser for mobile sites viewed in column view.

Opera Mini 5 is the shiznitz! I couldn't understand why you needed more than the BB browser and I am so glad I tried this. Amazing difference.

I agree opera 5 beta is awesome. I think opera mini and bolt are both worse than the bb browser. Both of them scroll really choppy. The opera 5 beta is still choppy but the tabs are great and it seems to be pretty fast

Try going to there mobile site through your BB. Then downloading the 4.7 OS link or Higher. That worked for me.

Do a soft reset on your phone or a battery pull if you've already downloaded it and it opens a blank white page. Once the phone loads back up... Enjoy.

i had opera mini, then i tried opera mini 5 beta 1, then i used bolt 1.6, and now using opera mini 5 beta 2.

so far i like opera mini beta 2 the best. i set the connection type to socket instead of http and its been working really well, much faster than bolt was or the BB browser.

I was using Opera Mini Beta 1 and I loved it so I installed Beta 2 but it's not working . When I click the trackball it won't register the click so I'm stuck on the very first page where I have to accept the terms of use. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I did battery pulls and nothing has worked. I'm using OS 5.0.0.230, any ideas?

there is a workaround for the trackball issue - i remember seeing a post with a link to a special version of beta 2 that corrects the problem. it was either in the bold 9700 forum or 3rd party apps forum. try searching "opera beta 2".
