Just curious if anyone else has recieved an email from BBMADMIN trying to confirm an email account that is not a blackberry.net address ? This is what it says.

You noticed that little code at the very end? This is why it never got to your blackberry. This email was pushed to your device and then immediately deleted upon receiving.
Everyone who installed 5.0 BBM got this is some sort of way.
You shouldn't have to do anything with it, although if you have multiple accounts it may send it to all of them. I'm not sure what it does exactly but it's not a phishing tactic. It's not asking for any information.
I got the email and I don't think it is anything to worry about once you are running BBM 5.0.
I believe this email contains special code which RIM uses to validate the email accounts associated with BBM in order to facilitate recovery of your BBM contacts via email.
If you guys go to edit my info, at the bottom you will see an option for Recovery emails. I believe that once this BBAdmin email is used to confirm your email address it adds the email as one of the means by which you can recover your contacts.
It doesn't show on the phone itself because once it is pushed to your device it is processed in the background by BBM and as such there is no need to display it in the message queue.
This is just how I understand it to work from what I have read

Ok, and that's what I was wondering. I was trying to figure out if I needed to have this verification email resent to try to help with the avatar issue I'm having... Thanks for the info.
