Greetings Crackberry members. This is my first post on the forums and I thought I'd introduce myself first. I've been a Blackberry user for 6 months now first with the 8330 Curve and now the 9630 Tour. My carrier is Verizon.

The problem I'm having is a missing icon for BB Maps. I attempted to load an OS update and something went awry leading to a white screen of death. I brought the phone in to a Verizon store and they reluctantly fixed the problem. After I left I noticed I was missing the icons for Maps, Notepad and Tasks, as well as all my games and Blackberry Application Center. Naturally I was on the train back home and couldn't go back right away.

What do I need to do to get back these basic applications? I tried sending my service books but that did not help. I made sure all applications were "visible" and not hidden. The maps show up under my service books but not in applications. Do I need to return my phone or can I fix this myself? I use a Mac by the way.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Not yet. I'll give it a whirl when I get home from work tonight.
