I'd be much obliged for help on this....
I'm trying to do a local sync of PIM data to Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 machine, by way of Desktop Manager 5.0.1. The sync works fine on another machine running XP.
When i try to Configure Synchronization on the Win7 machine, I get this error: "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."
As it happens, I don't actually want Outlook as my default mail client, but I did set it that way and it didn't solve the problem. I'm unable to configure synchronization, and thus unable to sync.
    Any suggestions?
I found a possible explanation here, and it pointed to a possible solution here (solution 2), but I'm a little nervous about it. I don't mind editing the Registry in principle, but I don't quite understand what this would be doing.

Rim hasn't provided any information for working with win7...
I only run win7 virtually so I don't have any information that will help.

    Sorry,
