Being in an area with bad reception, like the basement of a building is what does it for me. The device is constantly trying to get a signal and applications are also trying to update as well. That's when my device runs hot and the battery drainage is at it's worst...
Yeah this is most definitely the main reason for me as well. Reception is very bad and I have BerryWeather constantly trying to update. Not a good combination.
