I have a new Blackberry Tour and have been trying to eliminate the ring tone for email messages. I only want the light to blink. I go into Ringtones/alerts and have it marked as silent but the ring tones don't give an option for 'nothing'. Any assistance would be fantastic.

Just go into the sound profile you no longer wish to hear the sound and set messages-email to silent. That's what I did on my normal and loud. Light blinks but no sounds..

did the same thing for my facebook notifications, works fine for me as long as you select silent, doesn't matter what the ringtone is set to.
