People love to pretend another platform is *the* answer, and it never is.
There is no platform where tradeoffs do not exist... You are effectively trading one set of problems/differences for another set of problems/differences, doesn't matter what platforms you are talking about. The problem is, unless you are already an expert at the platform and device you are moving to, you don't really know what you are getting into.
Lagging messages have more to do with the carrier than the phone. I'm in an area where ATT just added the iPhone & noone can get MMS very well now. Heck, when I roam off network data is totally lagging.
