About to call Sprint to see if I can upgrade early!
So I called, and the customer service rep was really really nice. He said that Sprint took the availability to push up upgrades out of the system completely, so there was nothing he could do. He seemed like he was being honest, and he wasn't mean at all, so I'm pretty sure the case really is that Sprint won't let their CSRs change the upgrade date. I didn't threaten to switch at all or anything, just asked him if I could upgrade early, and he pretty much said "If I could, I would change the upgrade date for you, but the system won't even allow it." So do I call back and speak to someone else? Or do I just take his answer and leave? I guess that's what eBay's for! And hey, no contracts on eBay!

Yup, still a sad day for me.
But I'm glad all of you got your Tour's!
Maybe by my upgrade time, there will be a newer BlackBerry out.

my uprade date is on 8/1 so like that what 3 weeks...they wouldn't let me uggrade early...im soooooo bummed...ok beyond bummed...and I'm a premier customer and they still wouldn't let me.

Yup, nothing here for us on Sprint. I guess that's what you get for paying less!

The retention department can reset your upgrade eligibility. I had to have them do it a couple months ago when I put this 8830 on my line and it was incorrectly showing 2011 as my next upgrade date.

My upgrade wasn't until October 1st. He said they were really strict and couldn't/wouldnt give it to me. I was like that's fine let me order it anyway. Then he says hold on let me ask my supervisor. After 20 mins of being on hold, he came back and asked how long I've had my device. I said I've had this 8830 since December 07. Then he says I see you've had numerous claims. I said yea...I lost the 1st one (paid deductible), second and third 8830's stopped charging out of the blue, so I'm on my 4th (only had it a month). So then he says well we can give you the upgrade today I was like **** yea!!! So I ordered it of course! This was all like 15 mins ago I'm sooo excited!!! *super grin*

IM SHOCKED!!!! I called and was able to get it!! At first the actual sprint rep wouldn't let me do it. She transferred me to telesales and they actually did it for me and my upgrade wasn't until february!! I figured I'd try my luck one more time and it worked out. Didn't even have to make any threats lol. I've been with sprint for 4 years now so idk if me being a premier customer helped but I only have 1 line so its nothin special. I was gona ask if I can pick one up at the sprint store but I didn't want to push my luck lol. If I were u I would try...dnt take the first answer u hear

I made a 2nd call to sprint and yet again I was told NO..i mean come on its only afew weeks and I want it soooo bad...im calling the cancellation dept next and see if they will help me lol
