    Default 911 Call logs

OK I had to call 911 last night for the first time on my new BB after witnessing a Hit & Run, and when later filling out a statement for the police, They wanted the time of the accident in my statment. Well i went to my BB to look up in the call Log to see what time i called, but the 911 Call dose not show up in the call log.
Is this normal? Is there another way to find the call log info for that call, or dose BB not keep records of it? I Just got my BB late dec so I'm still faiirly new to BB's

As far as I know it should record the call log for this. Did you highlight and try to hit the enter key and hit del by accident?

I know this is no help now, but log in to your online account and look at the call details, see if it shows there. Depending on time of the call, it might not be here yet.

Does the log record all your other calls?

It should be recorded as 'Emergency Call' in your Call Log but may not show in your recent calls list (green button).

    Go to your Call Log:
    Messages Folder
    Alt + P

    See it there?

He is right. 911 or Emergency call will not show up in the log for some reason yet 411 does show. I dialed 112 which is said to be a national 911 for cells, and cause I know it does not work in my area, but it does trigger emergency mode on the phone the same as 911. But no log of the call.

Interesting, wondering why it would show there and in not in the call log?

    Does not make sence.

It kinda sucks to because if you were driving and on with 911, and got pulled over for being on the phone, you cant even try to prove it to the cop because its not in the log... At worst you would have to go to court with a phone bill..

sometimes i have noticed "private number" or "restricted" or "unknown" calls incoming, but they do not appear in recent calls. they show up in the call log folder.

Tell them to pull the 911 tape for when you called.

I know it's not finding it in the phone, but they record all 911 calls last I knew with timestamps and so forth.

I manage a 911 Center. The police should request that information from the Center to make sure it is accurate with their times. Not really your problem.

911 shows up in my Call Log. i didn't dial it directly though. It was an accidental call when my screen was locked and the yes got pushed for emergency call. Maybe that's that difference.

I believe they don't log in in some phones because it is too easy to scroll over it and hit it by accident..

All the other cell pones I’ve ever had logged all calls. This included unknown numbers, and 911.

Doesn’t really make sense that a call Log would not log some of the calls in the Log, and only in the messages section (even unknowns). Kinda defeats the purpose of a call log

Glad its not something i acidently did, or setting that needed to be fixed.

Is this somehtig that is changed in BB OS 5, or is the same thing with 5.0?
