Hi there,

Just thought I'd say a quick hi, and that I'm a happy convert to Blackberry/the 9860. I just replaced (through some remarkable generosity) my dying Palm Pixi with a 9860. My primary motivation for getting a new phone in general was so I'd have something reliable to use for phone/email use, instead of the dying old toy, and a Blackberry, with its focus on battery efficiency and call quality, fit the bill perfectly. Though I expect I'll one day (when it's cheap) move on to a BBX device, for now, I'm really excited to be using the 9860.

I've lurked on the forums here for a while (thus the ultra-low post count yet not-new registration date), and am happy to join the CB community

I got lucky I suppose and never had an issue with the back button on mine... heard complaints from a lot of others, but mine has been problem free. Still loving it like the day it came out of the box

Yeah, I'm still not too quick or accurate in portrait mode yet, but I imagine it'll come soon enough. Yeah, the Pixi was a great little machine, and had WebOS survived, I'd probably still be on that bandwagon...but I think I'll probably stick around with RIM for a long time--I like their priorities of voice quality/battery life/keyboards better than what one sees in so many other product lines.

Glad to hear another jump on Torch Board ... In due time you will fly threw the keyboard,I came from keyboard to a touch and wow it was challenge at first getting use to all touch..now it comes second nature...

I agree.very underrated..it's became the step child of the RIM family..
