So what about AT&T 9860 at Best Buy?

I see that AT&T finally announced the 9860.. Nov 6th... but does that also apply to Best Buy Arrival?

if you read the announcement, it doesn't mention retailers other than "company-owned retail stores", which i take to mean AT&T corporate stores.

my guess is it will be like the release of the 9810 where most Best Buy stores didn't have it on launch day, but had it within a few days.

i wouldn't get too discouraged just yet:

1. i could be totally wrong
2. this doesn't mean Best Buy won't have it, just likely not on release day
3. with the 9810, most Best Buys in my area had it by Tuesday after release
4. you've waited this long to use your reward points, a couple more days will save you some $$$

i'm in the same boat. i have a ton of reward points to use on this, so i'm eager to get it, as well.

maybe we'll see some preorder information soon and some expected store availability.

any BB employees care to chime in?

so, i stopped by the corporate store by my house earlier. they didn't seem to know too much about the BlackBerry release this weekend.

i did find one guy who was aware, and said that the 9900 would definitely be available in store on Sunday.

he also suggested that the 9860 would not actually be in the store, but would be online only for launch. which would mean that it is even more unlikely that Best Buy will have it on launch day.

take it for what it's worth.

Well i think he's wrong on that account. when i spoke to my local rep @ the AT&T corp store, she said the 9900, and 9860 will be in store on Sunday (actually stock coming in on friday for sale on Sunday)...

but then.. Best Buy said they have a order coming in, but it only has a ETA and not a shipped date from the warehouse.. so if anything the guy i spoke to said most likely Monday/Tuesday at Best Buy.

Been to Best Buy Today and was told that they can't do a phone upgrade on a business plan ...
Was anybody able to upgrade on a business plan? @ Best Buy (I am the account administrator)

I have a business plan and I bought my 9810, with upgrade, at a Best Buy. They even managed it without damaging my grandathered unlimited data plan.

Interesting, I've been told that I can't over the phone and in store. Well will see again when the phone is out.

I actually ended up at Best Buy because the AT&T store didn't open for one more hour and I just couldn't wait.
I did make it a point to tell them not to change my plan and they didn't. Might have been a combination of me being lucky or maybe just very detailed.

Don't have time to read through... Sorry. But I just left att. The manager brought me out a 9900 which clearly had nfc??? And also told me they had no 9860s in back??? I wanted to pick up a 9860 tomorrow and he says before end of the year??? Is this for real?

i think that it is, 9900 in stores tomorrow, the 9860 ONLY by phone tomorrow.. then
in store a week or so later.

Just left best buy in stockton ca and they have 5 in stock!!!
They won't sell until tomorrow. But I got to hold one very.
I know where I will be at 10am tomorrow morning when they open.
I checked the build it was a Mexico build 5

It's cool... Everyone has seen the pics, I'm just concerned by the fact that an AT&T store manager is telling me he has none in the back of his corporate store...
