Default Ringback tones (call tones) on Sprint?

Before anyone says anything, I searched the forums already and the last entry on this was three years ago, so things could have changed.

I was looking through my phone today and I noticed Sprint Music Plus, which I had never used before. I downloaded it and it lets you buy ringback tones to play while others are trying to call you, which is great because I thought that feature was only available through verizon. Anyway, is there a way to download these online and set them as your ringback tone?

...on a side note... My phone just exploded with mailer-daemon failure notice emails. I supposedly sent an email to everyone in my contact list even though I haven't logged into my email in almost 2 days, or opened any spam messages

Ringback tones are a carrier function. They exist on the carrier network and not on the device. Thus they are controlled by the carrier. You have to pay for that functionality.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I had a chat with Spint and they said it was included in my plan but I guess you have to pay for the ringtones individually through sprint.

Bear in mind that ringTONEs and ringBACKs are two different things.

And (at least with Verizon) the ringback service consists of two parts. You pay monthly for the ringback service itself. On Verizon is it $0.99 per month. And then you also pay for each ringback tone that you want to have active. Typically, they are around $2 and are active for 12 months.

So it might be that the service is included in your plan, but the individual ringback tones are not.

Log off of Windows Messenger, both on your computer and your phone. That's what caused me emails to explode. Hadn't been on either for weeks, but the app and computer were both set to automatically log on. Something got my email address from Windows Messenger. Logged out, and it stopped.
