OS 7.1 update causes my 9860 to misbehave
I'm using a 9860 and i keep getting reminders that OS 7.1 Bundle 1149 is available but every time i upgrade the OS, the fon starts messing up. Its way slower to respond, the sound notifications do not work, and the apps keep on freezing. I also get the app error 603 a lot.So i have downgraded the OS back to the old one. Does that mean i cant use the update on my fon?

Make sure that you have BBM installed and running on your device when you upgrade. It's necessary on all 7.1 OSes to operate smoothly. Make sure you turn off automatic memory cleaning. (Better to do it manually). Remove any existing 9860 OS from computer. Download latest OS (I think the Telestra .428 is latest and greatest). Wipe your phone and upgrade using DM or any of the half dozen or so free BB loading utilities (BB Boss; Swiss Army Knife; BBH Tools etc...)

It sounds like a bad upgrade. Wipe your device and reload the OS.
