OS 7.1.0.342 from U.S. Cellular available
Need to get it from BlackBerry's site, not on carriers site yet.
OS 7.1.0.342, carrier package 7.1.0.1149
Installed last night, no real experience with it yet but does have some nice features: hotspot, diagnostics, battery watch, etc.

Well it is a higher number than the leak I just installed. 4g LTE is doubtful since all of the new phones don't have an LTE antenna but will run on HSPA+ 4g. I don't have a clue if LTE supports HSPA+ or not.

If anyone has updated and used this let us know of your experience and any changes that you notice. I will probably wait until I get back from Mexico in two weeks before I update. Don't want to take any chances on the eve of leaving on vacation.

Its the same as the leaked OS that came out a few days ago. You can find out more about it there. (leaked OS forum)
Wifi hotspot came out with the first 7.1.
I like it.

Why is the Z10 Bridge worse then it was on my 9850? - 04-05-2012, 04:01 PM #8
The leak is .340 is it not? This one is .342.

I'm not sure if you installed a leak if OTA works or not. OTA check said I was up to date. Installed on my puter and opened dm to backup and was prompted with an update.

Verizon's version is still behind the others. Recent updates from other carriers have several new features. So in that sense, Verizon is the only carrier without a CURRENT update. I am on Verizon, and I have installed 2 more recent OSs on my 9850 since the last official release from V.

Agreeing with scmosher: I am running the initial 7.1.0.163 Verizon release. It seems that every other CDMA provider has released a second 7.1 release for the 9850, and THAT is what I meant by my point about Verizon being the only one who hasn't released an update to 7.1 .

So the questions to have answered are -
Can answer right away
1. size on device. Is it bigger or smaller than .340?
2. Reception, better or worse? .340 seemed to have an issue whereby it would show conected to 3G but stop receiving or sending data until the antennae was disconnected and reconnected.
3. Memory leak. All 7.1 OSes have leaked 1-2 megs an hour once the media player was utilized. It only takes a few hours to see if this is still the case.
4. Media volume - was terribly low and after pausing became tinny.
Battery life and sluggishness takes a few days to really note but the items above are easy to see right away.Ad Lucem
