They were only able to extract the .cod files but that was all
Sadly, we've never been able to pull the radio from the phone - any time we released home made .exe's they were made using the full DM update (which leaves the radio file on your pc)
then it would just be setup to install over the latest official/leaked OS and work from there
Wish there was a way to retrieve the radio file from the device but it remains yet to be seen

Thanks. I see my confusion now. Too bad about the radio file limitation though. With a community as bright as BB users, I am always shocked when they can't or have not yet figured out how to do something.

I'm looking out for this update too. Phone is working pretty good on .402 but it does still freeze up for 10-30 seconds sometimes. That really pisses me off! However, it's still not enough to push me to one of those toy phones...lol

You were sent an e-mail to your BB ID registered e-mail address. It said you will need to keep the registration number to reactivate BEWeather.
I kept mine (lifted # and put it in a text file on my sd card). I have changed devices and wiped and reloaded the OS and had no issues re-registering the program.
Not sure who sender was. But I will check later this morning.Ad Lucem

All carriers rol out updates differently. This is how Sprint does it, regonal OTA takes 4-5 dYs then posted on the download page. I fully expect we'll see at least an English version available sometime after 8pm tonight and late Friday afternoon.

Anyone else on Sprint experience BBM missing after the OTA update? I updated last night and everything appeared to go smooth, but BBM is no longer on the phone.
If I go to App World, it says it is installed, but does not give the option to delete so that I can re-install. This same thing happens if I go to options>application management.
Also, I tried to use Desktop manager to delete and re-install, but when I go to applications, it is only showing 3rd party apps???
Any ideas? - 07-24-2012, 02:24 PM #39Playbook wishlist

Yea, I thought that too, but it isn't anywhere??? I did search of "BBM" and "Blackberry Messenger" and got nothing. Also, if I hold down the BB key/app switcher, BBM is missing there as well. Only the normal phone, messages, browser, and home appear.
The funny thing is everything else appears to running fine. - 07-24-2012, 03:00 PM #41Playbook wishlist

Use one of the shrinking tools (BBBoss)to shrink BBM out of the device (I realize its saying its not installed, but there are clearly remnants of it in the phone). Once that completes you should be able to load it from App world. The other option is join BB Beta zone and download a beta copy. It will do an install over for you.

In OS 7.1, I believe the delete option is not available in APP management for BBM. Feel free to double check me on that.

The only thing I can think of is something went wrong with the install, however, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary during or after except for missing bbm.
I could downgrade OTA and then try upgrading again???
