I'm really hating the blackberry 9860, it's very laggy, all it does is thinks for like 5mins can't do anything not even update, When I first got it was only like a minute wait but now it's like 3mins-5 or even more to the point I want to throw the phone is the bin. I still have heaps of memory. Would anyone know why it keeps on ding this?

After a three month experiment with the Motorola Electrify (which by the way I really liked) I am back with the Blackberry Torch. I am a US Cellular customer and really wanted the Bold, but I love the Torch. Feels good to be back.

I'm with uscell as well and wanted the bold but since they don't carry it I went with the torch over the curve mainly due to specs. I do miss the keyboard but am adapting quite well.

People think I am crazy for leaving the Electrify, but oh well.

I've had mine now for a month and a half. I briefly had a 9810 but never used the keyboard so I traded up to a 9860. Reading through all of the forum posts about the 9860 had me concerned over all of the issues being reported but so far I'm very happy with this phone. I have had zero issues with it. The buttons all work and there has been no lagging/hour glassing and I have a ton of apps on it. Unlike my 9700 I have not needed to do any battery pulls either.

OS7 has been such a big improvement from OS5 on the 9700. This phone and BBtraffic are a great combination.

Only thing I wish it had was a good solution for a car mount.

just made the leap from a 9650 to the 9850 and i'm loving it so far. was worried about losing the physical keyboard but i'm adapting pretty well. like others i was pretty concerned with the multiple problems that have been mentioned, but the only time i've seen any lag at all has been inside of the app world. all the buttons work and i haven't experienced any freezing/lagging/non-responsive buttons.

You have to remember that most of the people that come to the forums come here because they have complaints or are looking for technical help with a device. A huge percentage of people not having any issues with a device will often never post and just browse. I wouldn't worry to much about the problems people are having with the 9850/9860 (of course its not impossible you could also have a problem arise!), it represents a small sample size overall.

I'm with Alltel (non-divested).
I've been using a Droid the last 2 years (previously had a Tour) & I just didn't like them. Sure, they had alot of apps, but they seemed buggy. I called retentions & they offered me $100 off a Torch 9850 if i'd sign a 1 year contract, so I did. I ended up paying ~$172 for it. I was torn between it & a 9650. I hope I made a good decision.

I had the Electrify also, but didn't care for Android. I came back with the 9650. Also was hoping for the 9930, but after reading 19 pages of how much people love this,I'm going to pull the trigger.

I am going on about 3-4 months on BB 9850 from Verizon. The first two I got were brand new and both broke for various reasons. #3 seems to be the charm. Interesting note here is was a refurb! Virtually zero problems with this one ! A couple of quirks here and there but nothing get upset about.

Finally got mine. Installing and updating programmes as I type. I'm only wondering which update version I should go with. Touch and go, I guess?
