Downloaded and installed this official version. I was on the previous leak of 7.1 before this with little to no issues.

So far so good with this one, I haven't really noticed anything other then the battery saver mode icon looking slightly different.

I also shrunk using BBH, 244.65mb's down to about 79mb's.

I wasn't going to upgrade after reading the comments based on the fact there was little difference and my performance with the previous leak was fine. I'm a big fan of the battery lasting longer though, and although I was already getting pretty decent battery on the previous leak some of the comments said this was strong for battery usage so I went ahead and upgraded. I'll re post if I run into anything new!

What I found was when running 7.1.0.267 my mobile hotspot work flawlessly when I upgraded I get message stating I needed to contact my carrier and upgrade my data plan
In order to use this function. This did not happen with previous os. Anyone else notice this?

Assuming this is the same 7.1.0.342 as the leak, I will warn everyone that the geolocation does not work with just data tower locations. You will not get a general lockon. It will wait for a gps lockon before displaying map, and in downtown regions where gps is intermitting, this will cause a big issue. I have found a solution, and it is to BBSAK in the geolocation.cod from 7.1.0.205. DO NOT use the cod from 7.1.0.267 because it has the same issue as 7.1.0.342.

I downloaded/installed the leaked 'all language" verson last week. Battery life has improved!!! Oshiri... I need japanese language input... one would think "all language" would include this... but no; I know its technically the same but, does this one happen to include japanese language input?

Downloaded this official version. The battery saving mode icon has changed. I don't know about the battery life, too early to say. On the other hand, I'm afraid to admit that maybe there's more memory leak. The keyboard responsiveness is more accurate than .267. Not so bad so far...

I've experienced none of these problems, my APP memory is exactly the same as it was with the previous .25x leak, and the memory leaks in general are about the same. I usually do a battery pull once per week just for a refresh, although it isn't required.

I'm not seeing seeing the "more responsive keyboard", or "more fluid" scrolling etc. That some people always seem to get every time the OS updates

Also, not sure why some people are having trouble with the mobile hotspot, mine is continuing to work flawlessly with this official updated.

getting rid of all my beta apps as recommended. i'll keep you posted "crossing fingers".

.25x worked perfect for me. But my biggest issue with .342 was the lag and memory issues.

Default Official: BlackBerry Torch 9860 OS 7.1.0.342 from Telenor Norway

    I'm back!!

Battery rocks! Even with killer brickbreaker, emailing, bbm, twitter, Facebook, phone calling and browsing. I am managing 3.XX% battery drain. If its my lucky day, maybe even 2.XX% drain.

    I love this os!

    Thanks RIM.

This touch screen beats the iphone out of the water with my usage and needs.

Not too much of a gamer!

I have phone off charger at 7:00 AM and last till 7:00 PM with 30% battery.

To add: even some music playing and another online game I play.

God, this phone is now my favorite.

Upgraded. Noticed improvement in battery life. I'm a heavy email user, so was not too happy with the battery life on 7.0...

Other than that, don't notice much changes. Loving the Battery Saving Mode though. Set it at 20% but never gotten around to use it, since my 9860 now has an awesome battery life...

Default camera crashes down too often too much

im using .342 leak and official version. its the same, the camera keep on crashing and i have to restart everytime its crashes. i take pictures a lot to save my works on whiteboard, paper, etc. god its really annoying. does anyone have the same issue? are there any solution to this problem yet?

ow yeah, the battery is good, and i see no memory leak differences than .2xx just keep on restart everyday and battery pull weekly.

aarrrghhh seems like i will past my limit this time to go somewhere else than our sweet blackberry if it keeps on coming like this. i just want a stable and reliable phone to work with

Thank you for posting this! I was wondering why BB Traffic was always red on the GPS logo on 267. I have a 9810 - are the files the same? Do I have to downgrade my phone to 205 to save the COD, or can someone upload the COD so I can make a hybrid 267 before I try 342.

    Thank you!!!

    Thank you!!!

All I want to say is that the 9810 cod change may be risky and not work.

Loaded this to my 9860 and no issues so far.

Battery seems good, like the device analyser tool too.

Most apps I have do not seem to have noticed anything different and work as they should....

    Recommended....!

I upgraded to 7.1 this afternoon from AT&T's 7.0 bundle, but it has caused a ton of problems. I'm not really sure why, especially since the reviews ITT seem to be generally positive.

My phone frequently hangs, especially when I try to play music. Battery pulls have done nothing. Unfortunately, I can't always sync with the desktop software either. It loses the connection. When the desktop software manages to detect the phone, media sync goes completely haywire and actually starts to wipe my media card instead of adding more music onto it. Reinstalling the desktop software didn't help. It's not a problem with the USB cable because it worked perfectly fine before, and the problem persists when I try different USB cables.

I gave up and wiped the OS with Swiss Army Knife so I could revert back to 7.0.
