I noticed an acknowledgement for Tomtom in device versions. Anyone know what this is all about?

Hey, can someone on VZW check to make sure Visual Voice Mail works on this release. It wouldn't play my messages on the first Sprint release I had installed... I guess because Sprint doesn't have VVM they weren't worried about it working in that early release... I'm hoping it now works because I'm REALLY hoping this OS fixes the above issue.

Installed this on my verizon 9850 last night and so far am very pleased. Phone does seem snappier and has lost the pauses it seemed to inherit from the 464 (?) release.

Mobile hotspot feature works great, for other verizon users info I was taken to a verizon page where I had to add a $20 2gb tethering option to my plan to use it.

I have tethering already.... I wonder if the hotspot will drain the battery like the mobile hotspot drains for IP4?

I tried out the tethering with my laptop this morning, there was a recognizable impact on the battery but not anything that I would call excessive, after all it is invoking the radio. I was impressed with the speed of browsing through the tether too, better than my verizon usb720 modem in my opinion. Enough for me to consider dropping my usb720 ($59.99 a month) and using the hotspot instead. $39.99 a month saving isn't to be sneezed at as long as I watch the data usage.

Yeah I would recommend dropping it. Having a mobile hotspot is cool.

I found one issue with this build on VZ. Maybe I can change a setting somewhere, but when I highlight an area to type an email and the new .com button appears as well as a "." instead of the spacebar, I can't get the "." on the space bar to work. I have to hit the .com button and backspace three time just to get the period. Is there a setting I'm missing??

    Default BBM delete.

Just wondering if it was my install or is bbm undeletable? I tried to download bbm 6.1 before I realized that it was incompatible. However while still trying to load it I see that it can not be deleted. And trying to shrink it out didnt work either. What gives?

First thoughts on 7.1 (running on VZW Torch).

    • Still getting the OS burned in... little bit of lag
    • Mobile Hotspot is cool, will burn battery
    • Keyboard a little laggy, but not hyper sensitive
    • Clicking on an incoming call can be an issue....

Been running it 3 hours now.... Just quick shot thoughts

Not sure I'm ready to jump yet. Must not be too many others wanting to jump yet either that or there just aren't many owners.

After the OS is installed try this
    VENDELETE.CMD - VENDOR.XML file Remover

    Then try this

Not sure about xp as I haven't used it for some time now. Do you have the newest DM? There was a thread about if you're still connected to the internet that an older version of DM would download another vendor.xml file. Try with your internet connection off.

I have upgraded a few using teamviewer, not sure I have time for that right now though and it doesn't always work.
