Default d/l problem

I thought I followed the instructions to the T, but after running the installation wizard, it said installation complete but I ran bdm and it showed I still had 7.0 on my torch. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have a 9860? Are you trying to use the OS for the 9850? If so it will not work, get the 9860 OS. Going by your info.

Hi, sorry for this noob question.
I don't understand what's the meaning of all languages and multilanguages. I came from Indonesia, and I don't think this OS will support bahasa Indonesia, since I had upgrade my device once with AT&T and there's no bahasa Indonesia option in DM or the device itself.
Any chance I can get bahasa Indonesia if I use this OS?
Thanks for the kind reply and sorry for my English.

I've tried the instructions on the first page several times, but I'm not getting the OS to show up in Loader for some reason. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I downloaded OS 7.1 and it installs but cannot update. Any suggestions. When I go to the BlackBerry Desktop, I am able to find the OS but it will not install.

click start, type cmd, enter, cd\ [enter], dir vendor.xml /s /p [enter] let it run, take note of where it finds them and go delete them from those locations and try again.

Funny thing, I was eventually able to update the OS but it occurred when the battery was dead!

This always occurs after entering my password to unlock (flippin' auto-lock - mandated by my BES). The only new installation I've done in the past few days since the update is the free Sprint Promo Font Manager. Just deleted that and restarted but no luck. Battery pulls haven't had any effect either. Advice would be most appreciated. Thx.

<Edit> This problem has now progressed to an additional uncaught exception message (java.lang.ClassCast Exception) and App Error 603 white screen of death reset. My 9850 is now useless toast. Thanks RIM/Sprint for the updated OS! Merry Christmas.
This 'Uncaught exception" crap started again two days ago. This time it's: "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" I haven't installed any new apps so it's completely unexpected. Happens every time I password unlock. Battery pulls have no impact. If last time was any indication, it'll progress to total failure and I'll have to have Sprint wipe and reinstall the OS again. Actually, at this very moment it won't clear at all and I have App Error 603. TOAST!!!

Now I've just read that Sprint is dropping the 9850 this month. Awesome! NOT. If I'd only waited a couple of more weeks last summer I could have opted for the iP4S and saved myself $$$ and this stinking aggravation.

Where did you read this?

From what I've read I'm debating whether I should go with the latest update or the one prior to it.

See my original post above, I edited it. I downloaded the file directly from Blackberry. This is an official file not a leak.

Downloaded and installed latest OS for the 9850 3 days ago;

BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.921 (Multilanguage)

and have been having one issue after the other. Am now in the process of downgrading. My patternlock doesn't work anymore and several other of my apps are erratic. Have deleted and re-installed and still no joy.

Anyone upgrading to this newer OS should consider all these.
