About time they added this feature! Very nice that we finally get this, I'm sure people will be pleased! I'm still sticking with Advance LED & OS though because it provides most customization with the way the LED's react to msg's, calls, app's etc. Still, I'm glad RIM added this feature.

I haven't upgraded in a while, but I notice when you hold down the menu key to switch applications it has a slick little "switch applications" text at the top. This feature was probably already there for a while maybe, but like I said...I haven't upgraded in a while.

The Switch Applications was there only in 7.1.0.649, then again now in this release

i just downloaded yesterday.i was waiting for this release since i saw it for bb 9900.i should also read those post, there are many futures coming out with this release.now, i just hopping that those things are the same here, for bb9860.i would say that it's the best release so far, the most noticeable changes.

I am going to load this after work tonight...I'm guessing by lack of posts, there are very few 9860 users left in the CB world. Or they just don't care enuogh to post for fellow users. I will report back findings.

I installed it 2 days back and everything was working well. As a curiosity, I have installed BL Return V1.0 alongwith this as base and .714 sfi. As original OS was bit hotter. Battery temp use to be more than 30 degree allthe time while .714 radio is bit cooler. It is belief that cooler radio is better for battery life. Another belief, warmer sfi are strong signal of 2/3G. I don't know how far it is true?

For me, i like this version even though for battery temp is a bit hotter and discharge rate is higher than 714, but I always carry a charger and a spare battery. My reason to keep this version is because the annoying popping sound when the device is restarted has gone and for me, typing experience is better in this OS. Also because it has a new feature to change the LED color.

Pros: Better typing experience, popping sound when restarted gone, ability to change LED color.
Cons: Battery temp and discharge rate is higher then the previous OS.

Decided to go ahead and download. So far, so good! Most noticeable difference for me is the texting even in portrait mode...for some reason, it sooooo much more better/acurate.

battery does go a bit quicker in this update. Everything is stable, and no issues other than the audio one as usual. Only had it loaded for 24 hours. If anything changes, I will post.

I swore I'd never update again as the previous several times I've seen little or no benefit.
However, today took the plunge and upgraded to .746

I'll give it a few days to bed down then post a review back here.

So far so good (and I agree the ability to change the LED to be contact-specific is quite cool, and I don't normally go for gimmicks !).....

So far so good.
After 24 hours device analyzer is showing my battery usage at 2.8% which is way better than my previous OS (.529???).
Absolutely no issues whatsoever with this update......

I have 2 days trying to install this OS, deleted vendors, restarted, installed os, restarted, all again, no clue, pc cant find OS, not apploader, DM or BBSAK... any ideas?
