Latest firmware Version with 2G/3G Switch Option
Hello everyone! As some of you might have read in a previous post, i'm the happy owner of a bb 9860, but struggling with the horrible battery life it provides. Currently on 7.1.0.342 OS, i'm getting about a day and a half of moderate/heavy use (including lots of sms, lots of bbm, and quite a bit of phonecalls). Now, most of you are going to say it's more than enough but, i do travel a lot and sometimes don't get to charge it so, i need to get the most out of it.
Now, what i want to know is what is the newest firmware version that has the 2g/3g switch, since .342 doesn't have it. The original 7.0 at&t firmware had it, but it's rather old, i'd like a 7.1 firm with the option if possible, and i'd like to avoid flashing os after os trying to find which has the option so, i'd apreciate the help. Thanks in advance everyone! - 05-25-2012, 03:15 PM #3
Since you are on At&T, this link will answer your question, it is not RIM doing this. The last response in the thread explains the issue.

AT&T devices have this option disabled...
Curve 8300 -> Curve 8320 -> Bold 9780 -> Torch 9860 -> Bold 9900 -> Z10
iPad 1 -> iPad 2 -> Playbook 64gb
