Default Help needed for O.S 7.1.0.342 (UK) TESCO

    Hello,

I have a 9860 Torch and Tesco mobile are my network provider. I've seen that Orange, O2 and Vodafone have released O.S: 7.1.0.342, but for some reason I can't get it on Tesco. I've tried updating using my device and also using the online Blackberry website, but Tesco just aren't present on the list of networks.

I've rung Tesco as BB's site says that your service provider authorises the software for use with your device, but they said that Blackberry authorise it and it doesn't go through Tesco. Although dumbfounded I am determined to find a solution.

So i'm wondering if anyone could give me any helpful advice (or links) on whether it would be viable to manually download the update (say for O2), or would that not work on my phone? Apologies if I seem like a noob, i've only had my Blackberry 6 days!

Thanks for the link, but before I can even do the first step I need someone to let me know if I can even download a different carriers O.S 7.1 update (and which one to download) and whether it would work with my Tesco network.

That'll be news to Orange and Vodafone customers.

My bad, they weren't for the 9860 specifically. Misinformation right there. Do you have any clue if/when the other carriers are supposed to get it?

Just download the O2 version to your computer. Any carrier's version will do, they are all the same. You MUST delete the "vendor.xml" file prior to installing on your device if the OS is not from your carrier. Thats the only difference.
