Google Search in the browser, and 9850 Keyboard
First off, is there a way to install google as a search bar in the browser? I see there's a way to add a search engine, but I don't know what address to put in. I mean, Bing sucks. I need google.
Second, I asked this somewhere else, but is there some way to make the keyboard automatically go back to letters after adding numbers or punctuation? It drives me insane. Thanks. - 09-27-2011, 12:18 AM #2
For Google put in:

You can also get the Google quick search app by downloading the .cod from this thread, second post down. It's off my 9650 but works fine on my 9850.

On my 9850 I just went to m.google.com and installed both the search app and maps... No .cod manipulation needed...

And after adding the Google Search App to the phone, it also shows up under the universal seach screen and the phone will pass whatever info to it like it does Bing etc...
Found this yesterday and it worked great!!!
I love this phone more every day!Last edited by Robert Calhoun; 09-27-2011 at 07:47 AM.

It was available in the .362 build I'm using so I'm happy. I'd like to remove Bing completely though, I can't stand that search engine.

Yeah, thanks. I totally added Google to my browser search. Verizon doesn't let it come pre installed.
