are you outside in a clear view of the sky?
if your in a building... good luck
i have no idea how but i fixed it, not it works like it should, giving me directions both in bb maps and google maps, and blackberry traffic is giving me the signal again, before it was always in aGPS or no gps, now its working again, actually i kinda know, i had to reset the phone's OS 3 times, and i downgraded to the 22.214.171.1242 and it worked perfectly, i dont have a clue why it wasnt working for 126.96.36.1993 but... worked for me, anyways i had problems of huge memory leaks on .523

I've posted in another thread of having an issue with the GPS for my 9860. I've spent countless hours wiping and deleting apps to try and find out what was causing the problem. My symptom would be: GPS not locking->reboot phone->Google Maps gets a GPS lock, wait for 2 mins->No GPS lock.
This was conducted outside. It made me think that the GPS did have a lock, but something was conflicting with the GPS and couldn't get a proper lock.
After the Nth time of wiping my 9860, I decided to install one app at a time, check the GPS, and try to figure out what was the conflict. It turns out, The Weather Network app was the culprit in not getting a GPS lock. I think my g/f's 9900 phone is having the same issue as well, but she seems to be getting a more consistent lock than me.
Anyhow, I've dropped the stupid app (never was accurate with the weather forecast anyways) and I've had no problems with a GPS lock.
Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
