Why is Telus dragging their feet in releasing the 7.1 OS!

When it's available I will be able to update via the software updates app in 7.0 OTA right? That's how this thing works right?

Yes, once Telus releases it, you will be able to download it OTA. But its not just Telus, Bell takes forever to release new versions. Is this a Canada problem? I have resorted to the leaked version 7.1.0.205.

Updating the device OS over the air is a bad idea. Use a computer. It's just a better way of doing it.

I"m using the leaked version too on Telus and love it!! I needed the hotspot for my PlayBook....

I could! I'm just a lazy . Besides, I already have a major case of CrackBerry addiction; tweaking my device like this with leaked OS's will just send me over the edge into an abyss of BlackBerry mania.

I also just realized I accidentally posted this in the Torch 9850/9860 forum... meant to post in 9900/9930! But no matter. It's the same problem...

Actually I'm thinking I will go ahead with 7.1.0.205. I'm a little scared because 7.0.0.585 is just working soooooo well.

using 7.1.205 leaked version with Bell and working very well. Much better than the latest version that bell supports.

Have fun waiting for telus... they have yet to release an update to the Shipped os version that i'm aware of.....still on .260!! was that way with my Storm... which i believe got one update throughout its life!! I don't remember ever seeing an update for my storm 2 from telus!!

Don't wait for Telus, use the latest leaked version. I'm loving 7.1, no negative issues at all and the the positives are well worth it. Plus, it take no time at all to do.

Well, Telus actually updated me to .585, so...
Still, they should bloody well release 7.1 to the masses.
