Have you tried doing an battery pull? And then not relocking the screen?

Why can't you just use a password to lock the phone?

If you do take it apart, could you possibly post some close-up pictures of the trackpad assembly? Everything but the ability to click has failed on my phone's trackpad and I want to take it apart but it would be nice to see what the assembly looks like first. Thanks.

I got the new torch delivered however this would not sign on to BIS so after hours on the phone to Vodafone they decide its my SIM

Been in to the Vodafone store today for a new SIM and still no joy

Since they don't offer the Torch 9860 anymore they offerd me an iPhone 4s or a Galaxy S3....

And walked out with a brand new Bold 9900

I could have set a password to unlock it I suppose, but I'm not having a phone with a broken button.

Sorry I couldn't take the phone to bits as they wanted both faulty Torches back in exchange for the Bold

    Thanks for your suggestions guys
