Default Bridge problems on Torch 9860. Please help!

I've been trying for the last few days to get BB Bridge working between my Playbook and my torch 9860. The problem isn't that something goes wrong in the setup; the problem is that I can't even get bridge to show up on the phone!

After hours upon hours of trouble, I actually got Bridge to download and install off appworld. It didn't show up. I did a search, and it didn't show up. I looked in every folder, and it was nowhere to be found. I restarted, uninstalled, restarted, re-installed, restarted again, and it wasn't there. I've done this a few times so far. I also hooked up my BB to the computer and tried through appworld's website. Again, it doesn't show up.

Funny thing is, when I go to application management, I see "BlackBerry Bridge. 2.0.0.25", yet it's nowhere on the phone.

This is an unlocked BB and the sim card that's in it isn't currently in use. I just want to use the BB to control my playbook when it's plugged in to my tv. Do I need to have a service plan or something to just use bridge, or even have it show up?

This has been consuming my time for literally 2 1/2 days and it's driving me insane.

Someone please help!

Um, is it under a folder, such as downloads or applications? If not, try deleting in application management, and installing again in app world, If that doesn't help, try wiping the whole device, meaning pull out battery, plug to comp, flash ram, battery back in, finish installing, then try installing using app world. By this point, I believe all carriers allow bridge now, so it shouldn't be a carrier issue. PM me if it continues, I've been using bridge with my telus 9860 since day one, and it works great.

Maybe you've got it in a hidden folder, maybe?

Hopefully you get it figured out.

Good luck

It wasn't in a hidden folder, but I actually got it working. I had to uninstall bridge and through my desktop software and re-install in with the files found in this link BlackBerry Bridge.zip

I also uninstalled app world, which was causing headaches. Hopefully when I update them it still works.

Go to Networks and Connections. Is it there? If it is, probably the bridge icon in your blackberry goes into a hidden folder.
