Default beware of cleaning screen on Torch 9850/60

do not rub any cloth other than microfiber on the plastic screen...as I used my shirt and it left light abrasions that could be seen in the right light...a quick fix was finally putting a good screen protector on which made the light marks not visible...you could also replace the screen frame/cover ($35-$40) which is a hassle...i use both bold and torch

I put a Zagg screen protector on mine the day I got it for that very reason.

That must be how I got some very fine scratches in the screen. I have a microfiber cloth I've used from my PlayBook, but the plastic screen doesn't always clean up easily. So I think I must have scratched it trying my shirt or something.

I thought screen protectors were given. When I sent my phone back for replacement [that I got 9/2011], I almost forgot to peel the screen protector off.

I used Ghost Armor on mine and you can wipe it with anything you want to - it won't scratch. My screenstill looks like brand new. It covers up any scratches you have on your screen currently too - the main reason I had it installed.

No. It's is a hardened glass but not officially Gorilla Glass. I never used a screen protector on my 9930 and never had a scratch on it however.

I also use screen guard from the day one. my 9860 is around 18 months old and its screen is as responsive as it was new. I clean screen almost everyday with wet microfibre cloth and then with dry cloth.
