    Default Battery issues

    i have a torch 9860 i fully charge it then i power it off using the power off/hang up button it stays off for aprox five days then when i puch the button nothing happens it seems the battery has died what is causing the battery to die even with the phone off ,the device is onlt 3 months old

    Maybe the battery got drained. Charge it up and hope for the best. Nothing too unusual here. Battery died all the time even when not in use

    take the battery out of the phone if you want to truly turn it completely off, power button is more like standby still uses power, its not off if it doesnt reboot....just like a computer

    op can do a little experiment: track battery usage for 24 hours while the phone is "powered off" using the blackberry device analyzer.

    i have a suspicion that the phone is still losing 3%/hour.

    Can you advise me on whether the battery life does get better once it's had a few initial long charging sessions?
