To all that are having problems installing google map now, found a fix

everyone who trying to install google maps now and are being directed to a Android version this is another way around

http://www.google.com/mobile/hosted/...leMapsPull.zip

download put it in your sd card and install it on your phone with the .jad file

in the folder there different version so say

blackberry-47 is for version 7
blackberry-46 is for version 6

etc etc

After two days of frustration trying to find a working OTA site for Google Maps, this worked GREAT!! I'm sure this will save all those who have a Blackberry that are running into the Android-only install links for Google Maps! MANY THANKS!!!!!!

I also had a backup of Google Sync & Google Voice saved BBH-Tools in the past which I found a life-saver.

Many thanks. After 2 trial and errors, blackberry-43 folder worked on my bb 8100 os 4.5. Blackberry-42 folder - is for touch screen units. You have to extract all the files (jad and cod) into 1 folder then look for the jad file and click it to download the google map app (if you have a working bis plan). Good in my country because im on an unlimited bis plan ( $15.00 more or less depending on the forex rate) for 1 month.

Thanks for giving it a shot. No longer works though, I can't get past the Terms and Conditions page anymore as it crashes then.

Yep, while you can install it, it's unusable. Google isn't happy with BB10's popularity.

I am not having trouble installing, it, When I open it and it tries to get the terms and conditions it says "Serious Error Occurred" and at the bottom "data connection lost." I also realized that Vlingo isn't working anymore either. I am pissed. What is going on here? It's worked fine for years.
