I restored my files from my 9800 to 9860 each time I turn of the phone or before the end of 24 hours all sms messages just disappear without notice, leaving just a few like 11 which are on the sim card out of 2000 restored from my 9800. When I use my torch 9800 the messages are always there. Is anyone having same problems. I have to do a restore from my backed up file to get my sms messages back everytime. I need urgent help on this issue.

This issues seems to be around since BB storm. still same with OS 7 !! If you plan to keep your old sms, you need to buy sms archiving applications. This is one of the reason why ppl move away from BB
