9860 accidently going into "Manage Connections"
Is there a way to keep from going into the "Manage Connections" menu anytime the top area of the screen is hit - I can't hardly remove it from its holster without that menu popping up due to accidental contact in that area. I find it quite annoying.
And while I'm whining I might as well mention that it also 'powers off' frequently when I use the Blackberry leather holster designed to hold the 9850/9860, I'm guessing the lower right button is making contact while inside the case. The Seidio Surface combo took care of that issue, so I'm over that already, but Id love to hear how others have delt with the same issue if you care to share.Live each day like it's your last - one day you'll get it right.

I know what you mean. Since switching to the 9800, then 9810 and now the 9860 that area at the top of the screen makes it very easy to activate. I generally don't have the problem removing from the holster but when I put it back in. To solve that I press the lock button on the top of the device before holstering. As far as removing from the holster I open the flap and grab the sides only which has helped. Once BB OS7 Themes are out I'm sure someone will design one that has a smaller footprint at the top so it isn't easily triggered.

A smaller footprint entirely, or instead of the entire area responding to touch, maybe the icon only, or make it more narrow and not so close to the edges of the screen - just a few ideas.

i would say just change your grip when removing it from the holster. there is not other way to change that as its part of the OS. you are simply grabbing it by the top of the screen. try grabbing the sides of the phone instead.

I did discover a setting which 'locks' the phone while holstered - that took care of it turning off in the leather holster. For the record I think the Seidio Surface Combo is really nice but I still prefer using the Blackberry leather holster. So now I just gotta get in the habit of grabbing it from the edges and keep away from the top area.
