9850 stops 3/4 through boot after AppWorld update yesterday
I updated app world yesterday when it told me there was an update, now phone stops 3/4 through the boot. I have tried to wipe following the Nuked blackberry 101 post but it keeps hanging up. Not sure how to proceed. Upgrade available in May, would like to stick with BlackBerry but if I cant this 9850 working I will have to go another platform as far as I know. Anyone have any advice?

How long did you wait? I have a 9850 and had no issue with the update. I did install the newest OS for it the other day and the first and next few reboots took about 5 minutes. Now they are back to a minute 30 give or take.

Sounds like a wipe and reload of the OS. BBSAK will wipe it but if you're windows you'll have to open task manager and kill everything blackberry and rim. Then install the OS you want on your computer, I recommend the latest in the thread and remove the vendor.xml files and install it using loader.

Okay, so follow the Nuked BlackBerry 101 after using BBSAK? If I have the latest OS from VZW do I still need to delete vendor file?

Yes. If your phone is a Verizion phone then you don't need to. I'm finding this OS to be better though.

So I just plugged it in, said it was connected, and that it wiped the os, however nothing on my screen changed, still as before sitting on the boot screen at about 75%.

It wiped with BBSAK? You got the popup saying it was wiped? If so your phone should be reading a 507 error.

It did, all in about 3 seconds though, so I seriously doubt it worked. I have used BBSAK before and had no issue. This is puzzling. No error, the phone stayed as it was, I pulled the battery, plugged it back in, now just have the battery icon with the red X on top of it.

That sounds like a battery issue. What if you take the battery out and plug it into the wall charger and then put the battery in.

Actually, looks like 19th time was the charm, it was still fast, but now finally have error 507! Downloading the OS you linked me to, Bluegrass, once downloaded I will delete vendor file, and use the loader correct? Can you point me to the loader again, I did this last night and was in a panic, cant find it again! lol Oh the drama! ;o)

9850 stops 3/4 through boot after AppWorld update yesterday
I had this problem before with my 9500(storm 1), turns out it was a faulty battery. When i tried to reload the os with a new battery it went well. But charged the new battery full first with a separate battery charger.

Aaron I'm in the same boat my reboot stops always 3/4 of the way. I have to do 3 or 4 pulls and finally gets going again. And I have not updated my app world lately. This problem has been on going for the past 2 weeks for me. I don't know what to do.

hello, im from indonesian
many of people have problem with that
i got issue, this is problem cause hardware problem with chipset snapdragon 2
as i know ,4 phone use snapdragon like 9900, 9930,9860,9850 ALL WITH SAME PROBLEM, stuck at 80 % loading screen
no what is the solution ?
use wiperBB and the name of program is CFP.exe
but, its not complete fix that problem, someday you will get same problem
after got that problem
im recommended for you to SELL YOUR BB
because that problem always come again, and someday your BB is "DEAD"
until this day, there is no solution with this problem ,update software cant do anything
some people buy new BB after got this problem, warranty ,service center is no solution and that problem always come again until you buy new BB
this is SERIOUS PROBLEM
MY MESSAGE IS
" I HOPE CRACKBERRY CAN TELL THIS PROBLEM TO RIM, BECAUSE IN INDONESIAN , WE CANT CLAIM WARRANTY WITH THIS PROBLEM AND WE CANT FIX THAT PROBLEM UNTIL WE BUY NEW BLACKBERRY"
