9780 sim to unlocked 9860?
Hi,
I'm sure someone has already asked this question somewhere on here, but I'm an and can't find it. Here's the sitch:
I currently have a Bold 9780, on the Rogers network. I want to purchase an unlocked Torch 9860 and transfer my SIM card from the 9780 to the 9860.
A) Is this even possible? ie. Will the 9780 SIM card even fit into the new Torch physically?
B) Will my network start to work automatically once the SIM is in the unlocked Torch?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks! - 06-16-2012, 09:57 AM #2
Yes it will. I also changed from the 9780 to the 9869 and it switched over flawlessly. Why not you test it on the spot at the point of purchase?
Curve 8300 -> Curve 8320 -> Bold 9780 -> Torch 9860 -> Bold 9900 -> Z10
iPad 1 -> iPad 2 -> Playbook 64gb

Ok thanks! I assumed it would but I wanted to make sure before actually shelling out the money for my new phone... And normally yes, I would check at the point of purchase, but I'm going to be purchasing online... Shhh don't tell my provider :S
