Default 7.1 For Verizon Torch 9850 when?

Has Verizon released a 7.1 OS for the Torch 9850? If not, speculation on when?

No, they haven't released 7.1 for any devices.
When? I read somewhere on the forums Verizon is testing it now, and it may or may not (probably not) drop in January.
Again, don't take what I said too seriously, I herd to through the grapevine.

Perhaps life is just that...a dream and a fear.

Not out. Of course you could just run the one from Sprint if you want to check out 7.1 now. That's what I'm doing. I have not run into any problems.

Ditto. Running 7.1 just fine on my 9850. As long as you delete the vendor.xml file in the apploader directory you should be fine doing the OS update.

It was strongly hinted at today by ************** (sorry can't say) that the latest OS has passed through most of VZW testing and should be available for distribution in 10- 14 business days.

Believe it when I see it, but thought I'd pass on what I heard as the source is fairly reliable. With the caveat that internal personality cashes between RIM and VZW are screwing allot of things up right now.

Same here...using the Sprint version with deleted vendor.xml and no issues.
