I've seen threads about this gold ecell 1930mah battery on this forum before and I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread so people can know about it and much improve their battery life with the Torch 9860. As we all know RIM chose to use the same J-M1 battery as the Bold 9900 which only gives us 1230mah for a much larger display. This means less battery life than we deserve, and I didn't want to be stuck with the oem battery any longer, but at the same time didn't want a bulky extended battery. Luckily I came across the previous threads on this 1930mah battery and I'm glad I did. I've been using the battery for a week and I can easily go through a full day of phone use when normally by 4pm it would be depleted. Normally I wouldn't trust a cheap cost battery with free shipping but thankfully I went for the deal.

Make sure you get the battery with the decoder included so that you can transfer the code from the oem battery or it won't work. Follow the instructions given by the company and don't worry about their OS 7.1 warning, it works fine. I'm sure many people here are wondering whether or not to trust the battery and maybe my testimony is enough for you to make up your minds. The battery does feel slightly heftier weight wise, and its probably a millimetre thicker but fits perfectly in the battery slot. Hope everyone had a great christmas
