100% dead battery issues?
Ive had my 9850 since launch day. I loaded a beta firmware back in september, and when my phones battery died 100%, it would not charge and I got the blinking red light. I brought it to sprint and they sent me a new one. No problems since.
I am due for an upgrade in august, and was thinking of giving my phone to my dad. I have never let my phone reach fully discharged status since receiving my replacement phone, so I am unsure if this is still a problem with the 9850. My dad often has his phone die 100% to the point where it doesnt turn on until plugged in.
Does anyone ever/often let their 9850 fully discharge, and does it "break" it?
Thanks a lot everyone, I want to give my dad this solid phone since I get clear reception whereas he cannot hold a signal with his galaxy nexus 4g, and his drops calls longer than 30 seconds. He is in need of another phone, but doesnt want to buy one. - 07-16-2012, 02:28 AM #2
I drain my 9860 on a fairly regular basis (maybe twice a week), and there haven't been any issues with it not coming back to life.

Every bLackberry I have ever owned was completely drained daily and always recharged with no issues. This sounds like a defect in the device itself.
