What made you get the 9810 over 9900
I'm starting to wish I would have gotten the 9810 because of its larger screen. What made you get it?

Larger touch screen. And it still has a keyboard

I started on the 9800 so it was a natural migration to the 9810. Originally I wanted the 9800 because I wanted both a keyboard and a touchscreen and the Bold at that time didn't have a touchscreen. When the 9810 came out, I wanted the much improved OS, UI and though the 9900 has a keyboard and a touchscreen, I wanted the awesome autofocus camera. Screen size was another factor.

PRICE
Price... Tough to justify a $150 price difference (now a $199.98) price difference if you go refurb on AT&T for roughly the same level of functionality. The Torch has a better camera and bigger screen, and the Bold has NFC and a better keyboard. Not worth the extra $$$ despite my love for the Bold Keyboard.

Slightly OT, but I wanted to share: I've been using 9900 for over 1,5 year now, and next month I am getting a company 9810 (yeah, I know: should be one of the BBOS 10
) Anyway. I hope that I will get used to it quickly :-)

Big screen, perfect for movies in landscape view, infact any decent vid looks awesome. Camera is super important so yea the autofocus camera. The slide out keyboard is awesome if one gets tired of typing on the touchscreen. Better battery life. Back then 9900 were raed as having the worst battery life but now things have improved with newer OS releases. More compact. 9900 is too wide for me. And the only trade off for all that if I'm not mistaken is only NFC which is still catching on.

What made you get the 9810 over 9900
When I got my 9810, the bold wasn't out. But I was determined to get my hands on the 9810. To me, it was the best of both worlds (all touch and then it has the keyboard)
I only wish the 9810 had a bigger keyboard. Still hoping for a BB10 slider like the 9810

Had a 9800 and then the 9810, so it was a no-brainer! Bigger screen and keyboard that I was used to. This is one of the reasons I'm going to wait a little on the BB10--hate virtual keyboards and I believe with the number of people that loved the slider phones (9800/9810-just read this thread) that BB10 will have one in a few months.

What made you get the 9810 over 9900
Two Black Friday ago at Best Buy, the 9810 was free with a 2 year agreement. I did like the 9900 (they had it for $50 with a 2 year contract) but now that I look back, i'm glad I chose the 9810. Now when Att comes out with the Z10, i'll be upgrading to that, asap!

All of the Bold hardware, none of the Bold weaknesses. Personally, it's the best OS7 device. eBooks read lovely, HD video record and playback - with auto focus, virtual and physical keyboard, ultra-responsive, awesome battery life, and themes POP - because I can see my theme in two modes, I never get bored.
My Primary Device is always my 9810. I just have a Zed...for fun!!

Slider is best of both worlds. Wish there was a BB10 slider release imminent.

Larger touchscreen, price, choice between a decent virtual keyboard and a (not-as-good-as-9900) physical keyboard. I do admit, though, that I had to heavily between the 9900 and 9810, but for me, the choice was more between the 9810 and 9860. But the 9810 was $50 w/2-yr contract on AT&T at launch while the 9900 was $250 on Verizon with a contract and the 9850 was $150 on Verizon (and neither device was on AT&T in August 2011). I did kind of regret my choice along my 2 years, but ultimately I came to really appreciate my Torch and have grown quite attached to it. I think the 9810 is, honestly, the best BlackBerry of BBOS 6 and 7 devices because it presents the best of both worlds whereas the Bold left you only with a physical keyboard and the 9850/60 gave you only a decent virtual keyboard.
