What color is your Torch and why did you choose that color? (9800s can answer too)
Just thought I'd ask, gives something good to talk about. I chose the white one because for some reason, I was drawn to it, it looked really slick, and I've never had a white phone. The gray color just didn't stick out to me. (Also, on a goofier note, white matches my Mac.) What about you guys?

Mine is silver 'cuz that's what the guy on ebay was selling

I realy wanted to have a 9810 that was fullly unlocked at manufacture so that I had VendorId: 301
301 is the UK and some other countries' SIM free number and it means that I get no carrier specifc products installed on my phone. Of course this means that I have to do manual OS updates (Oh, what a shame...).
All that said, the silver looks really cool.
Mrs. Pete6 has a white 9780 and she loves it. - 06-29-2012, 11:36 AM #3
Mine is the silver 9810. I put my black 9800 battery door on it and think it looks pretty snazzy.

The silver black combo. I have a 9800 back door on it and the phone looks very pretty good.

I'm not very comfortable with white cause of fear of turning it to yellow after few days due handling and dust.
white also looks cool though.

On the 9810 the choices of color are extremely limited...white or silver. Because I have been known to drop my phone, I have it in an AGF GRT Ballistic case that is Black. So I have a silver because it is dignified and understated and professional looking. It is traveling incognito in the Ballistic case because the silver is James Bond while the white is Johnny English.

Agreed that the white is something different. My phones were always silver or black, save for the red LG Xenon I had and the purple Pearl 8120. But never had a white one and it definitely does stand out. Boyfriend was jealous when I first got my white Torch because he has the red 9800, and his 4 buttons on the front are colored, mine always light up snowy white and its so cool!

My daughter has the red 9800, but alas, she is moving to an iPhone. I don't know what I did wrong...she votes Democratic and is switching to iPhone. The rest of my kids have done the same....all iPhoners. Where did I go wrong?
I do have to admit that since all live away from home...Indianapolis, San Antonio, and Austin...that Facetime is pretty cool and useful app! Much better than Skype. My wife even wants an iPhone to go with her iPad.Last edited by newcollector; 06-30-2012 at 11:28 AM.

I have silver because that's all that the AT&T store had in at the time.

Silver 9810. Unfortunately RIM decided not to issue the 9810 in the 9800's black casing (it was very nice), so I like 'newcollector' above have purchased the AGF case in black. I actually don't like the case because it adds a substantial amount of bulk and weight, and also the cover for the front piece makes the trackpad almost unusable. Although in all fairness I don't think anyone ever made a cover for the edge of the 9800 or 9810, it's impossible.
(P.S. I had a red 9800 when it first came out, and loved it.) - 07-04-2012, 04:43 AM #17
Black- only colour I could get my hands on at launch.

The 9800 is black because that was all that was available at the store on launch.
The 9810 is white because it's just so
