When I run the update from Cell Phones, Smartphones & Mobile Phones from BlackBerry.com it says my phone is up to date. When I look at my version I have 7.0.On the site it says 7.1 is out for my model phone. Is there something I am doing wrong? If you need to see it I cant take photos and post it. I really don't see what I could be doing wrong. You plug it in it checks for updates. Can anyone tell me whats going on?
Edit: The reason I went on the sitbecausecuase when I goptionstions and software updates it just sits there and loads. I let it load for one hour and gave up.

If you go to blackberry.com and click Software at the top, there will be a very small link at the bottom of that page allowing you to find the download page for your carrier. Select your carrier then on the next page the device. Then download 7.1, run the installer. Once the OS has been installed locally on your H/D, connect your phone to DM, and you should be prompted to update the phone's software. Make sure not to disconnect the phone during this process, as you can brick the phone. This all takes about 20-25 minutes depending on a variety of factors.
It worked for me on Rogers.

Joshua, did you delete the vendor.xml files prior to upgrading? If not, do a search for Vendor.xml in your start button on your PC, and delete both of them-there are two. Once that is done, the OS version you downloaded to your PC will show on your update command and you should be able successfully complete the upgrade. Make sure and make a back up of all your files and 3rd party apps as you will have to reload a couple of them--everything else should load fine with no problems. Good Luck.
