Default Torch 9810 is starting to p*ss me off

The battery issues are getting out of control. Here are two screen shots i took. The first one was from Tuesday and the second one was from a few weeks ago. Both photos we taken when my phone was "OFF". I left my phone in my pickup when i was on the job site. I powered it up around lunch time. Why does my battery drain like this when off ? Some days it won't drain at all. What the heck is going on ? I have no apps running. The phone in both photos is off.

I think there's something radically wrong with 7.1 battery level reporting. It's been very erratic on my phone. I can have Device Analyzer tell me I have3.6-4.7% drain per hour, while I watch it drop 10% in less than an hour. Then I'll go 2-3% per hour for several hours, maybe another 2% with an app install, do a required reset after the install with a 20+% drop in available juice when the phone comes back up. And none of this is ever consistent.

.190 started it, .205 was a little better, .258 seems to be getting worse. And it seems to be a 7.1 issue. Some flavors of 7.0 had bad battery life, but at least I had some confidence that what was reported was what I had. ith 7.1, once I see battery below 40%, I start wondering whether I have what my phone says I have. Or will I be left in a circumstance where I need to communicate because my phone goes from reporting a comfortable margin to telling me there isn't enough battery left & it's shutting off all radios. Yes that's happened -- fortunately, while sitting at home.

I agree. It seems to me that the battery itself is fine. I can get through a 16 hour day and while i am in the red when it goes on its pod, its still fully operational. But my phone tells me i have 80% at 12 midday. Now i start work at 6 am, up by 5 so from 6 to 12 it uses 20% then maybe another 10% from 12 to 2. Then as soon as im home, it goes from 70% to like 15% by 8pm! And although you will say im probably on it more then, im really not! My bluetooth is lff, and i only use it occasionally for texts and BBM.

Network searching uses battery regardless of if your phone is actively being used or not.

Also list what OS revision you are using

I was ok on the factory set OS (not sure what version that was, but I was getting about 1.5 to 2 days worth of standby and light usage. I installed the first 7.1 leak and it was ok the first few days, then battery life was horrible.
I attempted a security wipe and went back to the latest carrier approved os for the 9810 where I am. It was better but still bad so I suspected that maybe it was a corruption and used JL_Cmder to do a complete wipe and installed 7.1.0.258 and it is now amazing, if I stay in 5 bars zone, my phone barely even touches the battery level.
