Text Message display
Just got my Torch 9810 and having a maddening problem with the text message display.
When I receive a text message the messages are broken up by sender. Example:
Jane: Hi
Jane:How's it going?
Jane: Boring
John: Hey there
John: Pretty well. How's class?
As opposed to:
Jane: Hi
John: Hey there
Jane: How's it going?
John: Pretty well. How's class?
Jane: Boring.
Is there a way I can get my text messages to display like the 2nd example? Oddly enough, a SMS convo from Yahoo to my phone displays the 2nd way.
Any help is appreciated. - 05-02-2012, 08:24 PM #2
Tap your text message icon. Once in text messages hit the BB menu key (looks like freckles) and then select options. Make sure the box "combine sequential texts" is Not checked.

Doesn't Work
I have the same problem as DokGonzo, and the solution recommended here doesn't work. I've had the "Combine Sequential Messages" box both checked and un-checked and it doesn't change the display. The messaged are still groped by user, rather than by the actual conversation thread. Any other ideas? It's driving me crazy!

My IT department just helped me out! Go into your text message inbox and delete all of your conversations. Pull the battery, re-insert the battery. After it reboots, any new conversations will appear in the correct order in which they were sent and received.
I also had a problem with all of my incoming messages being time stamped the exact same time (9:00AM) and this fixed that problem as well.
