Default AT&T Raised the Price?

I just checked the AT&T site for pricing and it looks like they've raised the price for the 9810 by $50.

$99 with contract and $499 outright

yep they have. maybe it has been selling so well and at&t wants to make extra dough off it. the $50 starting point was to draw consumers in.probably they reached a threshold where their incentives are high so they can raise the price.

I saw that as well and it baffled me. A lot of folks loved the competitive price point. I think some non-corporate (authorized retailers) might still have it at $49

There's probably another factor, too. Thanks to T-Mo unsuccessfully selling it at $250 on contract, it came off the T-Mo roster. Which now makes the 9810 an AT&T exclusive. Since the 9800 was exclusive, they used to sell that at $149. So, it's not surprising they raised the price.

Perhaps they are trying to sway folks to other devices. could be any # of reasons they did raise the price.

I'm considering one but will have to pay full retail so at $500, it's just $50 less than the 9900 now....
