Hello i am new to this website

i have a blackberry touch 9810 giving to me buy a friend due to a upgrade

when he had the phone it was working fine the only problem was that you couldn't slide it up and use it had to but down to use it or the screen would go black. so i decided to update the blackberry when i did update the blackberry it was working fine untill i total forgot if don't work when i slide it up so i slides it up buy mistake and slides it back down i had thin color lines running across the screen and they don't seem to go now i am just wondering if its a new screen ribin or do i need a new screen (but the screen was working fine)

It looks like a problem with the hardware connection to the screen, not the screen itself. Especially since it already had issues if you slide it up.
