Screen and Camera Lens Cover Materials?
Does anyone know what materials are used for both the screen and the camera lens cover on the 9810? Are they Glass, Gorilla/Fortified Glass, or Plastic/Polycarbonate?
I'm wondering about longevity with just using a leather slip-case and going bare otherwise for regular use.
Cheers

Touch screen is glass, probably not "Gorilla glass" or anything like that as my RIM eval unit has one little scratch on the touch screen. A screen protector is really warranted (I had one on my 9800). The camera lens cover is just plastic... I don't know that I'd put a cover over that as it would degrade image quality, and minor dust/scratches simply don't show up, and being plastic, it is easily polished if necessary.. Putting a case on the phone will recess the lens and help prevent it from getting scratched)

It is just plastic maybe polycarbon? You could try with a custum cut protective film. BTW: when it came in the box from factory it do have a protective film over the camera/flash lense.
