Red star notifiers?
Hi,
I've got a Torch 9810 and I'd like to have red star notifiers on my messages app.
WAIT. Before you say anything, I'd like to say that yes, I have indeed set the new message indicator in messages > options and the display unread count is also enabled.
My messages app lights up witha red notifier for
-email
-texts
-BBM Group message only
-BeWeather advisories and the like
BUT, it never lights up for Whatsapp or BBM chat messages. YES, in both their respective options settings, I have enabled 'show chats in messages folder' and they do show up in bold text (unread ones) if I open my messages app. But still no red star on messages. I get the red star in the native app, though, for both whatsapp and BBM.

Also, the unread count doesnt work for the messages app too. Isn't it supposed to give the no. of unread items (within brackets)? Unread stuff, again, works for native apps for whatsapp and bbm.
Any ideas, anyone? And of course, I'm assuming that you're assuming that I tried the battery pull.

Only logical answer I've seen here. Why would one need to buy an app for something the device does native?
On my torch I don't get the unread count for anything other then email. Berryweather, BBM(single or groups), or anything else that is sent to the messages app doesn't give me a messages count.Cell Phone History:Motorola Bag phone > Motorola Star Tac gen1 > Motorola Star Tac gen 2 > Motorola Razr > BlackBerry Pearl(8110) > Iphone gen1 > BlackBerry Curve(8310 Red) > BlackBerry Torch(9800 Black) > BlackBerry Torch II(9810 Gunmetal Silver) > BlackBerry Bold 9900) > BlackBerry Z10(STL100-3 Black)

Guys guys guys, I never uttered LED lights!
I don't mean the red LED notifications at all. I said red star notifiers and I'm trying to refer to the little star that appears on the top right corner of the Messages icon! I already have the advance os and led app(great one, isnt't it?), but thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.

Ok, here's some clearing up. Whenever you get a new message (a text, a BBM or say a Whatsapp) then in the unified Messages app icon, isn't a normal red star supposed to appear, indicating that you have a new message? This is exactly what I am missing. No LEDs, no theme issues, it's just that my phone does it (make the red star appear on the Messages -icon)for certain kinds of messages like BBM Group messages, but not regular p2p BBMs. Am I clear enough on this? Here's a pic of what I mean by the red star...

So only emails and group BBMs can cause this red star, I also want Whatsapp and regular BBM private chats to cause this red star. They both show up listed in my Messages, but they never cause the red star to appear. Any ideas?
